His role goes beyond simply negotiating prices: he selects suppliers, optimizes costs, secures supplies and contributes to the company’s overall performance.

Main tasks :

  • Identify and select suppliers according to needs
  • Negotiate purchasing conditions (price, lead times, quality)
  • Placing and tracking orders
  • Analyze the market and anticipate trends
  • Ensure the quality and conformity of purchased products and services
  • Optimize costs and propose cost-effective alternatives
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, quality and finance departments
  • Monitoring purchasing performance indicators and reporting

Recommended training / qualifications :

  • Bac +2 to Bac +5 in Commerce, Purchasing
  • BTS International Trade, Purchasing and Supply Management
  • Master’s degree in Purchasing or Business School
