General description:

At AXE, the purchasing manager is the guarantor of the availability of the raw materials, components and supplies needed for production.
He or she ensures that the right products are delivered, at the right time, in sufficient quantity and at the best cost.
This is a strategic role: a delay or shortage can bring an entire production line to a standstill.
AXE values the rigor and responsiveness of its purchasing managers, who ensure the fluidity of flows and contribute directly to meeting customer deadlines.

Main tasks :

  • Place and track supplier orders
  • Manage stock levels according to production requirements
  • Anticipate shortages and recontact suppliers in the event of delays
  • Analyze sales forecasts and adapt supplies
  • Negotiate delivery times and resolve disputes with suppliers
  • Maintain databases (ERP, management tools)
  • Collaborate with logistics, production and purchasing

Recommended training / qualifications :

  • CAP/ BEP Logistics operator
  • Bac pro Logistics
  • Bac +2/3 in Logistics, Production Management or International Trade
  • BTS in Transport Management and Associated Logistics (GTLA)
  • Logistics and Transport Management DUT (GLT)
  • Supply Chain or Purchasing-Logistics professional degree

Technical skills required :

  • Mastery of ERP tools and inventory management software

  • Good level of English (depending on supplier)
